Crafts comprise a variety of activities and hobbies that are related to making things with your own hands and skill. These can be sub-divided into handicrafts or "traditional crafts" (doing things the old way) and the rest. Some crafts have been practised for centuries, while others are modern inventions, or popularisations of crafts which were originally practiced in a very small geographic area.
 When you use the word ‘craft’, there is a possibility that the other person is thinking about something completely different to you. One person would think of handmade one-off pieces while another would think of stencilled furniture and stamps. And it doesn’t get any easier when you get beyond the word craft to a specific discipline such as glass or textiles, as again everyone will imagine something different.
Craft workshops are there for children, to allow them to express their creativity through a wide range of stimulating, hands-on activities such as masks, magnets, mobiles, puppets, pots, mosaics, babushka dolls, tie dyes and chimes.
Entertaining the kids can be difficult.
Many people are unaware of the workshops open to children. Kids get to build and create whatever the feature workshop offers and get to bond with friends. It is definitely a great way to take the kids out and have some fun!
